Planting a church is just another way of saying launch or start. So.., we are launching or starting a new church in the Lehigh Valley of PA. The next question that usually follows is: "What kind of Church?" Rather than ramble on, I will provide you an excerpt from our Launch plan for Legacy Church. I will follow up with a more detailed description of how the Past, Present, and Future will be the driving forces for what you will read in the following:
LEGACY CHURCH
Mission
Legacy Church will exist to engage and connect the people of Allentown to God; and through that, lead them to life change. The goal is to build a multi-ethnic/cultural community rooted and growing in God’s love. We do this by reaching those far from God and getting them grafted into His Story as new disciples! The result is passionate/ sold out followers of Jesus, whose legacy is to change the world through their relationship with God.
The idea is to connect folks with the Past in the Present to take back the Future!

TRUTH
We will do everything with character and wisdom, in accordance with what the Bible teaches. This resonates with the idea of reaching back to the Ancient Past. The ancient past with respect to God’s story, the church’s history/story, and our past being transparently and truthfully shared.
RELEVANCE
Through the creative elements of music, video, and the arts we intend to share God’s story and our story in a way that people will be attracted to God. We are created in the image of a creating God, so we will seek to be creative in everything we do. This core value factors in the ancient past, the present, and the future and how we creatively connect folks to His story in all three of those areas.
EXCELLENCE
In whatever we do to share God’s story and connecting folks to that story, we will strive to do it with excellence. Whatever the outcome, we will work very hard in pursuing the best for God and His people in both living out and sharing His story.
REPRODUCTION
Legacy Church will produce disciples, artists, leaders, groups, campuses, and new churches to effectively carry out the great commission in both the short and long term. This core value factors in the ancient past (we are directed to reproduce); the present in creating present day environments that facilitate this production; and the Future with respect to leaving folks who are people and world changers!
GROWTH
We are all messed up people in need of God. Legacy is a place to come as you are and leave a little closer to God. In the present we will help them grow closer to the past for their future.
RELATIONSHIPS
God designed us to live in community. Legacy is a church where we laugh together, cry together and live life together. As our logo reflects, we are of one heart both in our Love for God and our Love for His people. One in a desire to change the world in the present for the future through changed lives who understand the story of the ancient past!
