Entry #1 - The Journey Begins!

So.., here I sit with my guts all twisted from the excitement for the task and the journey that lies ahead.

The picture you see on the site, is The Lehigh Valley in eastern Pennsylvania. This area consists of 3 major cities (Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton), and a mixture of towns, townships, and boroughs. There are approx. 1.5 million folks in the entire region.

It is flooded with several large colleges locally (Lehigh University, Lafayette College, Moravian College, Muhlenburg College, Cedar Crest College to name a few), and a large Community College (NCACC). Lots of young talent and folks who may or may not know the Author of their Story.

The area was once a very blue collar area with many factories and industry thriving throughout. However, there has been a change and the area is a growing professional community. There is however a growing gap between lower income and the professional income community; there is a substantial lower income and homeless group in the region. Crime is on the increase in the inner-city areas with a lot of gang activity filtering its way into the area from NYC and Philly. Lots of folks who need to hear the story and get to know the Author of that story.

So..., this is a general overview of where we are headed. Please start praying for that area now. Pray that He would prepare our way.

We are buckling in and getting ready for the ride of our lives! Let the Journey begin (Wooohoo!)
